THE BEAUTY OF SIMPLICITY, Telecast, Music Force http://www.musicforce.com
The debut from Seattle band, Telecast, seems to be part of a growing move to redefine preconceived notions of what worship music truly is. Telecast, along with new artists, CoolHandLuke, appeal to the fans of Coldplay, The Beatles, BNL and Radiohead, while exploring their utter dependence on God with unflinching honesty and candor.
I am not a fan of much of the music that has come out of the worship craze of the past six years, but these songs are sticking in my head, mainly because I am living them
and identifying with the singer. The title song bleeds, ‘It’s the beauty of simplicity that brings me down to my knees; I’ll praise you for eternity. Lord I love you, because you first loved me.’ Wow. Simple Truth that always bears repeating.
The other songs, ‘Radiate’, ‘Covered’, and ‘The Way’ are powerful and again compellingly naked and honest. There simply is no fluff here.
