"Jesus replied, 'If anyone loves me, he will obey my teaching. My Father will love him, and we will come to him and make our home with him.'"
- John 14:23

You know that thought you get a month after you move into a house or apartment... "This place seems smaller than when we looked at it." You finally get all your stuff moved in, and what seemed pretty roomy is now no longer enough room to play Twister with more than 2 players. A bummer, for sure. You gotta have at least one non-participant to spin the wheel, and two participants to ... twist. More on that later.

Pretend you have a house for rent. You run an ad. in the paper, and peoples are calling to set up appointments to see the house. Some folks would look it over and maybe suggest an update here or ask a question or show concern there. But its not often that a potential tenant would whip out a list of requirements for your personal life and say, "If you do thus-and-such and such-n-thus, we'll move in." If I were showing the property, I'd be like, "Uhmmmn, tell ya what.... I'll get back to you, ohhhhhhh, never. Mmmm Kayyyyyy?"

Of course the person might then say, "Did I mention that I'm the Son of God, that my sacrifice saved the world, and, oh by the way, my Dad built this house. (I know, its weird that the Son of the Contractor would be renting from you.) Let me mention, too, that the only way you'll find peace and true fullfillment is by renting this property to Us. No other tenants will satisfy you."

Rick Warren states in his book, The Purpose Driven Life, "You were made by God and for God, and until you understand that, life will never make sense. It is only in God that we discover our origin, our identity, our meaning, our purpose, our significance, and our destiny." There is nothing to add that would make that statement more true or more potent.
