So you either need to stay near towers, buy your own tower, or tell your friends to ride along if you don't want your conversations cut off.

My friend, Jason, does a lot of travelling with his job. He needs to be accessible to his family by phone. He travels in and out of areas with bad reception. So he bought his own tower. Well, sort of. He bought an antenna. At Cornerstone (a four-day music and arts festival in IL., for those of you who do not know), Jason looked like one of the Jetson's with his antenna sticking out of his backpack. Like a diehard Trekky or something. BUT, he had a good signal. He was still connected.

Many of my friends here recently have said, "Man, I just haven't heard the voice of the Lord in a long time." They've traveled into a valley, of sorts. Or so they think. But the Lord is always near... to those who call on him. He is always near to those whose call is sincere.

You may think the Lord is far from you. Truthfully in such incidents you are far from the Lord. He is constant. We're the ones that stray. You've traveled out of your normal reception area. You are in "roam" mode. Or you had the music up so loud that you missed a call or two.

Regardless of your location, though, you can have great reception. The Bible is an antenna that improves your signal regardless of your position. When those around you are out of range, you can still pick up a clear connection. God speaks to us in seven different ways: through preaching, teaching, dreams, visions, angels, his audible voice and the Bible. Of all of these methods, the most common and readily available is the Bible. That is why I say regardless of your location you can have great reception. Its in his Global Connect plan.

The Lord wants to be near you. It says in verse 17 that he is "loving toward all he has made." That's you, baby. Pick up the Bible. Hit memory dial. Get connected. Hear his voice. You don't have to wonder. You don't have to "roam."
