When I saw the title of this book, I thought to myself, "Is that the same thing as every young man's battle? What's the difference?" Well, I had to pick it up and take a look at it. Turns out that there is a big difference. First, this book is really aimed at a more mature audience, including men in there forties, like me. Second, it is definitely aimed at men who have become accustomed to sexual activity, whether inside of marriage or not. Probably the biggest audience for this book is the divorced man between the ages of 25 and 35. Unfortunately, that's a big segment, even among Christians.
That being said, the title is not "every divorced man's battle" and it certainly covers great advice for all singles. It just does so at a very practical level. For instance, the authors know exactly what is going on in your mind as a single guy, as is outlined here:
There are a number of places where negative things are dealt with, but the main thrust is very positive, even challenging, in a way that will involve you in the worthwhile battle to be an extreme disciple of Christ in a world that is happily going mad. This is a study guide, not just a plain book. Like the other books in the every man's battle series, it can be used in group or personal study. The price is pretty low (US $10.99 / $15.99 CAN) and is discounted many places. Not really a gift for the casual acquaintance, but it might be just the right thing for your brother, your best friend, or for yourself.
