I got a phone call from Ryan ONeal (vocals, guitar, and keys), Chad ONeal (drums), and Dan Perdue (bass and keys) of 'Sleeping At Last' and here's how it went. - Justin Taylor
MDM4M: Where did the name 'Sleeping at Last' come from?
Sleeping At Last:- The name comes from Psalm 4:8: "I will both lay me down in peace, and sleep: for thou, Lord, only makest me dwell in safety".
MDM4M: What prompted you to get into music?
Ryan: I was into music from an early age. I started playing guitar in bands at 12 and from necessity started singing vocals as well. I always wanted to be the best at what I did. I wanted to be a professional everything: professional skateboarder, etc. but never really thought of being a professional musician. Once I started playing, though, I knew that this is what I wanted to do
Chad: I started playing in bands at 14 and really enjoyed playing the drums. Ryan and I have been playing together since.
Dan: I started playing bass about 9 years ago, and joined the band about 5 years ago, after playing in other local bands.
MDM4M: How/when did you get saved?
Ryan: Well, Chad and I grew up in a Christian home and were in church all of our lives. We don't remember a specific time, but we put our personal faith in Jesus Christ as our Savior and Lord when we were young.
Dan: I grew up in a Christian home as well, and put my faith in Christ during high school.
